Eucharistic Adoration is the best way we have on this earth to spend a long time in quiet conversation with Jesus. Eucharistic adoration is the respect and worship we give to Jesus, who is truly present to us under the appearance of bread and wine.

If you have a really good friend or if you are married, then you know what it takes to be in a relationship with someone. It is not always easy and it takes time to build a good, strong relationship. Two of the most important things you can do to deepen the relationship are to spend time together and to talk to each other frequently – listen to each other. Our soul's best friend is Jesus. But sometimes, Jesus can seem like a figure from history. Maybe we don't have a personal, meaningful relationship with Him. Is He just someone we have certain obligations towards but know nothing about? Eucharistic Adoration helps us to deepen our relationship wth Jesus, helps us to know Him in a personal way.  It is the best way to spend time with Jesus in quiet conversation. By doing it we spend time with Him and talk to Him just as we would to any other friend. For whatever reason we come to the Blessed Sacrament, rest assured that Jesus wants us there. He wants to sit and spend time with us too.

"Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease."    Pope John Paul II.
